That was the week that was

It’s what, 11.56pm, and I’ve just finished the last job of the day, being a written interview thing for ‘GoldenEye 007′.  Notwithstanding any last minute emails that need a shoulder rub, I’m shutting down for the night now, in every possible way.  This week’s flown by, I tell you.  Last Sunday Mrs W and the progeny packed themselves off to Portmeirion in North Wales, leaving me to my MacBook Air, iPhone, BlackBerry, and the daily pounding of the 39 miles stretch of tarmac between Base Station and Eurocom, where the finishing touches are being put to ‘GoldenEye 007′.  Gaming has been on hold again, with ‘Red Dead Redemption’ and ‘BioShock 2′ gazing at me intently from the sideboard and piling on the guilt.  I did manage to catch Solomon Kane on Sky, which I thought was very good indeed, despite the lack of a ‘What is best in life?’ one liner, and have played a little Solipskier on the iPhone which is off the scale.  A horribly addictive, rewarding and entertaining game.  And now the family’s back, Mrs W with a dose of food poisoning as she ate pate at a roadside restaurant come salmonella servery, and the kids are falling over themselves to play Plants vs Zombies on the iPad vanity device we have in the lounge.  Bless ‘em all, it’s good to have them back, especially as they brought me back a great mug from the Village – inset – which I’ll have the morning tar from tomorrow.  Until then.
